Front Yard Eufaula Alabama Wedding

Videography, Wedding

She says he is outgoing, fun and loving and he says she is organized, loyal, and caring.

I first met Xander and Marissa when they got roped into modeling for a styled shoot with Labellevie Weddings that was featured on Southern Weddings. A few months after that Xander contacted me to help him plan a styled shoot that turned into a surprise proposal that you can see more of here. I feel like I’ve been a part of their love story in a small way, and I was thrilled when they reached out for me to document their wedding.

I knew this wedding wedding was going to include all of my favorite things from day one when Xander told me they would be getting married in their grandparents’ front yard in Eufaula, Alabama. This was the same place his brother and sister-in-law got married and where his family gathers for all kinds of celebrations. Their day was full of family, traditions, and legacy. Marissa’s earrings were a gift from Mother of Groom, the groom’s cuff links were a gift from Father of Bride and they previously belonged to his father who has since passed. The bride carried a handkerchief & cameo incorporated in bridal bouquet in memory of her grandmother. Every intentional detail carried so much memory and weight.

Marissa got ready at the historic Shorter Mansion, and I could have photographed in there all day. The pastel wallpaper, gorgeous natural light, and stunning antique white couch matched all of Marissa’s timeless style and details. We HAVE to talk about her stunning custom Heidi Elnora dress!! It fit her like a glove and everyone’s jaw dropped when they saw her.

Xander and Marissa had their first look on the same stairwell that his brother and sister-in-law were photographed on and we mimicked some of the very photos framed on tables throughout the house from generations past. Their ceremony was intimate and sweet and their grandparents had front row seats in the rocking chairs on the front porch. We celebrated the happy couple with toasts, some dancing, and lots of hugs and they wished the newlyweds off as Xander quite literally swept Marissa off her feet.

Both their timeless images and highlight video were done by Love Be and we couldn’t be more honored to be a part of and document their perfect day. Xander and Marissa, thanks for including me in all of your journey to Mr. and Mrs. and I couldn’t be happier for you two!
